The perks of being a walflower

If someone asked you to define life would you be able to? The thought of life is so complex yet to me there really is no true definition. To me a vine perfectly resembles the idea of life and death. Without progression vines cannot continue to grow. Just as a flower without light or water wilts away. If you don't take steps in moving forward the cycle of life becomes meaningless and things die off.

Staring At The Shadow in The Shape of Wonder

I've always wondered why someone would want to rewind time. It never made sense to me why you would want to take steps backwards instead of moving forwards. It just seemed ridiculous. Although i have to wonder, if I would have the chance to go back in time would I keep repeating the same mistakes I have already once made? Or would I put more thought into my actions? I took a chance with you without even knowing you. I bent over backwards to try and make something work that was never going to piece together. I cannot say that I have wasted my time for I have learned a lot. Although if I could go back to April, I could have started over...

Life in Technicolor

Today while i was headed to work i saw a billboard that was an advertisement for the American Red Cross. It read, "A simple thread can become the fabric of the nation." I was thinking about this quote on so many different levels and came up with a totally insane out look other then its original meaning. For example how people are so bias meaning first impressions really are what count the most.As a whole we as humans act unfair and rather prejudice at times whether we aim to or not. Most of us don't even realize it. To be prejudice doesn't always mean you hold a grudge or have hatred against a certain ethnic group maybe you just don't like someone because of the clothes they wear or music they listen to. Fashion speaks, sometimes even louder then you do. A simple thread can become the fabric of the nation by either sewing us together or stitching us apart at the seams. You decide.

I've Been Here Before a Few Times

People say that within a picture there's a thousand words. Although for me behind each thought there's a thousand questions.

Every Chance Is a Risk To Be Taken

Lately things have been seeming to come and go in the blink of an eye. Today the song Big Yellow Taxi by the Counting Crows has been dancing around my head. Whenever i hear this song it makes me think about the idea of having something "perfect" on day and non existent the the next. Also I have realized that people pass up opportunities way to often. If you think its what you want then why not take a chance because it might be the only time you’ll ever get to. Even if it involves taking a few risks. Life’s full of them so you might as well take them while there in reach. Things never come easy and time goes faster then a ticking bomb….

Dear your Holiness

Have you ever wondered how one action has the power to change your whole day? Or possibly even your whole life? Today this thought has been lingering in my mind haunting my every move. I feel as if every step i take is a life changing threat. For better or for worse i may never know...

A Momment Suspended in time

By:Alexis

A broken record spread across the floor

I am watching the weeping willow weep

Leaves emotions flying out the door

Like climbing a mountain thats too steep

You're now falling at the speed of light

As if you were a bird who lost its flight

Just as every good intention that i've made

Pictures of hope poke over mountain tops

Yet you shine bright through darkness of my night

The revolving world slows down and stops

This vision fades to shades of black and white

The dim moonlight cast over my person

Pain relieves itself instead of worsen

Thus is a momment suspended in time...
